Great news….. here at savethosememories we use wetransfer.com to shuffle files around the world for customers. Previously any single file could not be larger than 20GB which was only 90 minutes in Standard Definition (720 x 576i) and only 15 minutes in best quality HD cinefilm (1920 x 1080i). This 20Gb limit has now been removed which will really help customers with a few large reels of cine film that needs saving in HD. I regularly have to deal with 40GB file sizes. The other good news is that the total storage limit has been raised from 100GB to 500GB, which will mean that files will remain available for longer as I will have to do less housekeeping by deleting files to create space. Plainly for large archives I will still need to use 1TB hard disk drives, but for many that would have relied on USB sticks these will no longer be required and they can be uploaded. This will make it much easier for you to pass your cine / video archive throughout your family as I can leave your archives available for longer.
