I am delighted at the quality of the finished product and am staggered at how well the definition and colour have been reproduced from the cine films some of which were taken 50 years ago!
I have been particularly impressed by the professionalism you have shown during my dealings with you - in particular your personal interest in the films and their content in order to be able to organise them into the sequences that were necessary. Its nice to see personal interest shown as opposed to a "conveyor belt" approach to the procedure.

It really is refreshing to deal with someone who is thoroughly professional, efficient, helpful and courteous.
My old 1930's black & white films are now easy to watch and enjoy. Chris has cleaned, spliced, edited and titled them in an expert way, adding appropriate music. He even personalised the cover of the DVD by selecting images from the films.

Received the drive and the films back this morning. Had a quick scan of the files. Look fantastic, quality is superb and much of the footage is unseen as the stock was in such a bad state that it was un-viewable on my projector. Not just memories but a snapshot of the sixties. Great!

By contrast, I had a bad experience elsewhere a few years ago which also probably explains the dirty condition of some of the film. In my first attempt to get this footage transferred, I sent it to a company in Glasgow 2-3 years ago. For some reason it was "lost" with them for about three months while they kept telling me it would be returned soon. I never received explanation for this, and when the order did come back the quality of the reproduction was very poor. Whatever happened in those three months, I reckon they must have handled the film badly since the surface deterioration only occurred afterwards, between then and now, ie. the last couple of years rather than the previous 25 years!

Many many thanks for the DVDs which I received today, they're absolutely brilliant and the quality is far superior to that which I was expecting given the age of the films.
I love the music you've added, it's noticeable and adds to the films without being obtrusive.
The less said about the clothes we were dressed in the better!
So far we've only watched the first disk but I'm sure the second will be as good!

Hi Chris, Thanks for putting together the DVD of our family cine films. The result is absolutely fantastic. I am sure that when my Mum gets this as her Christmas present she is going to be over the moon. It was very nerve wracking handing over the films - when they have such a high sentimental value.
