SaveThoseMemories.co.uk - the home of
"Memory HD" Cinefilm transfer
March 2010- six months without paid advertising and I am busier than ever. Thank you to all my new, referred and returning customers. I am working hard to keep the time lag from arrival of your archive to shipping the saved memories back to you down to three weeks. Video is running at about 4 days for short collections to 1 - 2 weeks for larger collections depending on the Service level chosen.
The purchase of the "Memory HD" has been totally vindicated by the quality of the cinefilm archives I am producing with it, it says a lot that I cancelled all paid advertisements in August 2009 and I am still booked weeks in advance......
Hello my name is Chris and welcome to SaveThoseMemories.co.uk . In search of the perfect telecine image I have just invested £107,000 in brand new state-of-the-art Telecine film transfer equipment. This brand new machinery, the "Memory HD" from world renowned cinematographic company CTMDebrie, it is the only one in the UK and it took me over 6 months of research, awkward questions and trials to make the choice of what I consider to currently be the best Cine transfer system available. "Memory HD" is the only system in the world capable of generating true Telecine High Definition (HD = 1920 x 1080) & Standard Definition (SD = 720 x 576) cinefilm transfers for all of these formats with or without sound - 8mm, Super8, 16mm, Super 16mm & 9.5mm.
This is not upscaled Standard Definition (SD) which is a really poor alternative to true HD. Nor is it just using an HD camcorder to film the projection and claiming HD quality. (NEVER go to a company that still uses a camcorder (1CCD or 3CCD) to capture an image of any kind!)
A lot of companies use phrases like "Our secret method" or "Using the latest digital technology" or "Second to none" ...I ask you this simple question if their system was state-of-the-art or top quality why won't they name the system they are using or the telecine company that manufactures it? Many companies still use cameras and screens or 45 degree mirrors....this is NOT GOOD! Ask companies what system they are using and who manufactures it, if they won't tell you....well make your own mind up.
Here at SaveThoseMemories.co.uk I pride myself on the personal touch, I do not employ anyone to do work for me, only I see your films, only I do your work with the "Memory HD". Your precious memories are not farmed out elsewhere or given to a nameless technician to complete. From your initial phonecall or email you will deal with me, Chris, this will guarantee that what you want is what you get, nothing is lost in the "Chinese Whispers" of larger companies. There is no template, no one-size-fits-all, no generic moving menus used with useless information like "Memories", no treadmill of just chucking sub-standard images out. Everything is done by me with care and attention to detail. After all what good is "20% off"or a "Free something or other" with every order if the images produced are disappointing....?
I am always happy to listen to exactly what you want to achieve, whether you are an archivist from a library or museum, a broadcasting company or a private individual wanting a special Golden Wedding anniversary present for your parents, or maybe you are sorting out an entire family archive or you just want a simple transfer of one or two reels of your childhood. If the phone is busy leave a message and I will get right back to you. No job is too small (single reel) or too large (hundreds of reels).
It really matters to me that you get your important family memories or official archive exactly how you want them with the right information in exactly the right places. Whether your archive is on cinefilm, videotape or 35mm slides I always try to think 20 years in advance so even if you only have a few words scrawled on a small packet of cinefilm, those words are still worth saving - "Mum & Dad - Majorca 1968" might mean the world to you....I am available to discuss your transfer needs right up to the end of office hours at 10pm.
March 2010 news: Six months paid Google free....... It has been Six months now since I switched off all of my national and local advertising budget. This is because I have been getting more and more repeat and referral business from previous customers or new customers from recommendations. This tells me I must be doing something right, the quality of the "Memory HD" and the personal nature of my service keeps bringing people back.... I aim to keep my company at 100% capacity right through the Spring without the need to advertise.
Again, I was the only Cinefilm transfer company that got a recommendation by ComputerActive! magazine (September 2009) This is now two years running that I have been the only company recommended by ComputerActive! for cinefilm digitization.
New Storage system: All cinefilm transfer work will be backed up free of charge for 1 year on a 24TB Raid system, so if you need an extra duplicate DVD or you accidentally wipe your files or have a PC crash you can re-order your work up to 12 months later.

Please Note:
- I was the ONLY company to gain a recommendation by Computer Active! magazine two years running (September 2009 & August 2008) I am honoured by the award and it just shows that putting in that bit more effort and going the extra mile can lead to a better archive.
- All of your cinefilm is cleaned and lubricated before going through the award winning "Memory HD" system, so that not only do you get clean images on your DVD or files but also your film is returned in pristine condition for further storage.
- I have just invested £6,500 in a brand new 24TB RAID file storage system so your cinefilm transfers will be "Guaranteed" backed up on my system for up to 12 months. This is in case you accidentally wipe your files or have a system crash or just want duplicate copies at a later date.
- I DO NOT use camcorders for transferring camcorder video footage, which will lead to inferior quality, I ONLY use professional deck-based dedicated transfer equipment by Sony, JVCPro, Panasonic, Bang & Olufsen.
- MY Video 2000 equipment is Bang & Olufsen, who were the only company allowed by Philips to make their own machines, therefore the transfer quality is vastly superior to a transfer done by either Pye, ITT, Grundig, Marantz or Philips machines. (New heads and service June 2009)
- I ONLY use top quality printable Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs and Blu-Ray discs, so that all printing is directly on the disc, no sticky labels EVER!
- NEW - All DVDs are laminated after printing so they will remain water and scratch-resistant for years, this is especially useful if you are lending your DVDs out to friends or family. It also means that any ink colours will remain fresh for many years.
- Private & personal material is fully secure and will always receive discreet attention. As mentioned above only I do the work NO ONE ELSE, call or email me to discuss if you have any specific privacy requirements.
- If you can't visit me then return postage is always sent by First Class Recorded Delivery. If sending precious material to us we suggest using at least Recorded Delivery too.
Just choose your service requirements from the list on the left hand side menu and I will give your material the personal touch from Start to Finish.
* Email or phone if you wish to discuss your specific requirements or just to chat through the possibilities of what can be achieved.
